This module details key aspects of the role, responsibilities and legalities of a Board or Committee Member of a Not for Profit (NFP) organisation.

Learning Intentions:

In this module participants will progress through a series of lessons, activities and case studies set within the context of a Not for Profit (NFP) organisation, to further develop an understanding of:

  • Board or Committee roles, particularly that of Chair
  • Structure, dynamics and functions of Governance
  • Strategy vs operations in an organisation
  • Responsibilities and legal liabilities of a Board
